The University has dissertation councils to defend doctoral thesis. The councils have the right to provide expert evaluation of dissertation research of doctoral students who have completed three years of training in one of ten programs:
6D010200 - Pedagogy and Methodology of Elementary Education; 6D010300-Pedagogy and Psychology
6D011900 - Foreign language: two foreign languages
The dissertation councils' decisions are subject to approval by the expert councils of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan
