Students:
The contingent of students for the period of 2017-2019 increased from 16 to 65 people for the specialty "Geography-History". The employment rate of graduates of the Department of Geography annually ranges from 90 to 100 %.
Educational programs:
In addition to traditional groups with Kazakh and Russian languages of instruction, there is also a multilingual group at the department, where classes are conducted in three languages.
Accreditation and leadership:
All educational programs of the department have been accredited. In the rating of the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, in the "Atameken" rating of 2020, the program 6B01510 "Geography" took the 2nd place, the program 7M01501501 " Geography" took the 1st place.
Partners:
Department of Geography has relationships with many leading universities in the CIS and Europe. Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia), Altai State University (Russia), and the University of Navarre (Spain) are among them.
Academic mobility:
Students actively participate in the academic mobility program and study at partner universities: Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Auezov South Kazakhstan University (Kazakhstan), Belarusian State University (Belarus), Tomsk State University, Orenburg State University, Perm National Research University (Russia).
