The Department of Geography trains specialists in the field of education and offers bachelor's and master's degree programs.

Students of the department have the opportunity to study on four trajectories. The training program includes such relevant disciplines as "Local History", "Aerospace methods of geographical research", "Geomorphology", "Methods of teaching geography in the context of the updated content of education". Students have the opportunity to get additional education by taking a special course.

Graduates of the department will be able to carry out design and survey research, fundamental and applied scientific and geographical projects, participate in the work of nature protection and environmental management bodies, conduct environmental and geographical monitoring of the environment, and work in educational organizations.

The scientific interests of the department are related to geoecological research, environmental protection and the study of modern man-made processes.
