The Department of Preschool and psychological-pedagogical preparation trains specialists in the field of preschool education and psychological-pedagogical direction. The department offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Students of the department have the opportunity to study in the following directions: «Pedagogy and psychology» and «Preschool education and upbringing». The training program includes such relevant disciplines as «Preschool pedagogy», «Methods of speech development of preschool children», «Child Psychology», «Psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of personality», «Age and Pedagogical Psychology», «Fundamentals of Coaching», «Critical Thinking», «Fundamentals of Deviantology», «Practical Psychology». Students will receive special knowledge in the field of preschool education, pedagogy and psychology.

Graduates of the department will be able to work as psychologists in educational organizations, orphanages, special correctional organizations, sanatorium and sports schools; educators, methodologists, heads of preschool institutions; teachers of pre-school training in general education schools, gymnasiums, lyceums; teachers of psychological and pedagogical disciplines in pedagogical colleges; methodologists, leading specialists in education departments.

Students from the first days are actively involved in the scientific and cultural life of the university: they participate in subject Olympiads (annually win prizes), make presentations at scientific conferences and forums, participate in creative competitions, sports competitions.

The scientific interests of the department are related to the improvement of professional training of future teachers, the formation of the foundations of civic education of university students, the education of a real national representative in the conditions of higher education, the formation of ethno-cultural identity in preschool organizations.
