The Department of Philosophy and Theory of Culture trains specialists in the field of socio-humanitarian knowledge in the following areas: "Philosophy", "Religious Studies", "Culturology". The educational programs of the department are developed for the bachelor's degree. The training program includes such topical disciplines as "Religions of Kazakhstan", "Human factor and innovative development of Kazakhstan", "Philosophical problems of Kazakh modernization", "Social conflictology", "Logic", "The problem of human activity, communication, creativity".

Graduates of the department will be able to teach philosophy and socio-humanitarian disciplines, work as experts, social analysts in government agencies, advisers on management and religious issues, specialists on culture and religion in the diplomatic service.
