FACULTY OF LAW

The Faculty of Law was founded in 1972. The faculty prepares highly qualified specialists capable of carrying out legal, research and teaching activities.

The mission of the faculty is to create and transmit knowledge for the formation of a new generation of legal personnel with professional competencies in the field of jurisprudence, attitudes and values that meet the requirements of the modern labour market, with in-depth skills in the application of IT in the field of law, with developed linguistic competence in law enforcement and law-making activities.

The faculty offers a multilevel legal education. Bachelor's, master's, doctoral programs, multilingual education and academic mobility programs are being implemented.

The faculty includes 4 departments: Constitutional and International Law; Theory and history of state and law; Civil and Labor Law; Criminal law, process and forensics.

The faculty has a training laboratory for forensic science and forensic expertise, a courtroom, language laboratories, computer classes, multimedia classrooms, a fund of educational literature, and a reading room. Students have the opportunity to practice at the Legal Clinic, which provides free assistance to socially vulnerable citizens.

The Faculty has a Research Institute for Legal Research and State Studies.
